About

Stockton Business Improvement District is the elected representative of businesses within Stockton town centre, run by businesses for businesses. Together we are a stronger voice for business.  Our mission is a simple one: to improve the commercial environment for local businesses with every penny invested to make Stockton a place where people will want to do business, visit and stay.  The Business Improvement District (BID) works as a partnership between local businesses and organisations to campaign for and deliver a range of projects and policies to benefit the area.  Our projects deliver cross-sector outputs in business support, leisure and culture; we promote sustainability and the green environment with walking and cycle routes and are working towards cutting crime. The Levy is our member brand, it promotes and connects our community of 400 diverse businesses. Stockton MET, created by the BID, provides Levy members opportunities to meet other Tees Valley businesses and together we are working collectively to change high street perceptions.  We champion ambitious regeneration and public realm projects including Stockton Globe. We lobby at local and national levels on behalf of our members and we work closely with partners including Stockton Borough Council. Our membership with the Association of Town and City Centre Management (ATCM) and British BIDs helps to educate and inform us on the changing nature of the high street, its use and future users - this knowledge contributes towards how we shape the decisions that affect the future of our town centre.  More than ever our driving force is localisation. Together we are stronger. Stockton BID works with businesses and looks beyond our traditional BID role. Innovation, creativity and strategy will lead the way in demonstrating the value of BIDs and how they improve our future.

The future is local.
